Thanks to the amazing guys over at BGR, we finally have an in depth look at the newest member of the Bold line - The BlackBerry 9700.
From the glowing review it appears to be one of the best RIM units to date.
The expected specs include:
* Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
* UMTS/HSDPA
* 480◊360 resolution display
* Wi-Fi a,b,g
* OS 5.0
* QWERTY keyboard
* 3.2 megapixel AF camera
* Bluetooth
Highlights of this first look include: Apparently the screen really stands out, being super bright and clear. The device is much sleeker than it's predecessors and apparently the vibrate function can be expected to REALLY get your attention.
On the hardware front RIM seems to be constantly pushing the envelope, for example they have completely redesigned the keyboard to be similar in shape as the tour, but have the responsiveness of the previous bold.
There is some speculation that the OS might not be the latest version of OS 5, meaning you might miss out on some of the best UI enhancements until you can upgrade.
The device is expected to be available by the end of the year, hopefully as early as October or November. Will you be able to wait?
